I am so happy to be back at Gladden Farms this year!

A little about me: I am a native Tucsonan and attended the University of Arizona where I graduated with honors in creative writing. I moved to the Bay Area after graduating and studied clinical psychology, earning my Master’s degree in 1994 from John F. Kennedy University. My husband and I moved back to Tucson the same year and I began working as a counselor for La Frontera before moving into public education. My family and I love to travel, eat good food, and talk about our favorite books. Both of my kids are grown now and taking their own journeys.

I have worked in public education for more than 20 years. I’ve been a high school counselor, a high school teacher, have studied exceptional education and worked in that area, and now feel I’ve found my niche at Gladden Farms. I love getting to know the students, parents, and staff. We’re an amazing team. Students always surprise me with their kindness, their creativity, and their resiliency; I love talking to students and I try to let them find the answers to problems - I’m there to help, but they often know what they need to do. My goal is to support all of our students so that they feel a sense of belonging and feel confident in their abilities.

Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing community!

Warm regards,

Paula Evans

I grew up in Tucson and graduated from Pima Community College, the University of Arizona, and Walden University with fitness, nutrition, and psychology degrees. I am happily married and have one adult son who attended MUSD for his academic career, a 2340 kid.  I love hiking, being outdoors, and attending any type of sporting event. The Marana area has been my home for over 20 years and I am thankful to contribute and be a part of this community.  It’s an honor to be in a position where I can help support and educate kids to make positive choices for everyday life and academic success.
